CROSS AT THE TOP OF THE CHURCH was turned on in blue light for the first time on Saturday 30th September at 6pm after many years of darkness. The original cross went dark due to very dangerous maintenance procedure (tall ladders, steeply pitched roof and precarious access when replacing fluoro tubes or performing a service). The replacement cross above the Webb St. entrance was installed some time ago, however this cross was visible only to the neighbours and the passers by. The new cross at the top of the church is a completely new design utilizing LED technology and was installed with a maintenance platform and access ladders and steps from inside the church. We are grateful for this beautiful cross to its designer Frank Civardi and Aurelio Cavallaro who helped with installation. May God reward you hundredfold.
